YA Scavenger Hunt – Enter to win by April 9!

Welcome to YA Scavenger Hunt! This bi-annual event was first organized by author Colleen Houck as a way to give readers a chance to gain access to exclusive bonus material from their favorite authors... and a chance to win some awesome prizes! At this hunt, you not only get access to exclusive content from each author, you also get a clue for the hunt. Add up the clues, and you can enter for our prize—one book from each author on the hunt in my team! But play fast: this contest (and all the exclusive bonus material) will only be online until noon, Pacific Standard Time, on April 9th!

Go to the YA Scavenger Hunt page to find out all about the hunt. There are five contests going on simultaneously, and you can enter one or all! I am on the GOLD TEAM, featuring all these books...

...but there are also red, blue, purple, and pink teams each offering a chance to win a whole different set of books!

If you'd like to find out more about the hunt, see links to all the authors participating, and see the full list of prizes up for grabs, go to the YA Scavenger Hunt page.

SCAVENGER HUNT PUZZLE

Directions: Below, you'll notice that I've hidden my favorite number. (Okay, it's not exactly hidden. You will find it in bold red.) Collect the favorite numbers of all the authors on the gold team, and then add them up.

Entry Form: Once you've added up all the numbers, make sure you fill out the form here to officially qualify for the grand prize. Only entries that have the correct total will qualify.

Rules: Open internationally, anyone below the age of 18 should have a parent or guardian's permission to enter. To be eligible for the grand prize, you must submit the completed entry form by April 9, 2017, at noon Pacific Time. Entries sent without the correct number or without contact information will not be considered.

SCAVENGER HUNT POST

I am hosting JENNIFER BARDSLEY, author of Genesis Girl and Damaged Goods, and host of the popular Facebook page, "The YA Gal." She lives with her family in Edmonds, Washington.

You can check out her website here or find more about her book here!

And OMG look at her gorgeous book...

DAMAGED GOODS by Jennifer Bardsley

Blanca has everything she ever wanted, a hot boyfriend named Seth and the loving support of her foster father, Cal. She's finally escaped the abusive control of her birth father, Barbelo Nemo, and her tortured childhood at Tabula Rasa School.
But the scars of Blanca's Vestal upbringing run deep, especially when the FBI start asking questions. Blanca feels abandoned by Seth who is hunting for Lilith, Blanca's only blood relative. The Defectos, a support group of Vestal-Rejects, offer Blanca comfort instead.
While the Vestal order crumbles, Chinese rivals called the Guardians rise to power and wrest control of important Tabula Rasa contacts. Now Blanca's life is in peril once more, and this time, Blanca struggles to recognize friend from foe.

Now, the moment you've been waiting for...

THE EXCLUSIVE CONTENT!

Blanca’s Secret Instagram Account
As fans of GENESIS GIRL already know, Blanca spent the first eighteen years of her life never being on the Internet. But in DAMAGED GOODS, Blanca flexes her digital muscles. Here’s a look at what Blanca might put on her Instagram account:
My top secret vacation begins today! #PrivateIsland #Offthegrid
I spent the afternoon gluing bookplates. #BookNerd
Still speaks to my soul. #Ihaveissues

Whenever I see the Tabula Rasa motto I get chills.
#Finally Free #Defecto

If you're intrigued (I am!) and want a chance to win a copy of Jennifer's book (along with mine and 18 other amazing YA titles), keep hunting! But first, you need to know that my favorite number is 22. Add up all the favorite numbers of the authors on the Gold Team and you'll have the secret code to enter for the grand prize!

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE...

I'm also offering a second signed ARC (advanced reader copy) of HOW TO DISAPPEAR and a hardcover copy of my first novel, BETWEEN THE NOTES. Open internationally! Enter the Rafflecopter below, then continue the YA Scavenger hunt!

Now, it's time for you to...

CONTINUE THE HUNT!

To keep going on your quest, you need to head over to Amber Duell's blog.

Good luck!!

  18. I don't go to bookstores often . Unfortunately , where I live , everyone loves non-fiction and so the stores stock up on them and I'm not much of a non-fiction fan , so I stick with online shopping .

  19. We actually have a tiny, and I mean TINY little building in my hometown of Walker, LA called the Bookseller. It's a woman who runs the shop in the front of her home. She let's people trade books for others and it's so home-y. I could stay there all day. And if you ask her to keep an eye out for a certain book she'll make a note and call you if it comes in! This is how I found my first edition of Eragon! I just love people that run shops like this for other book lovers like me.
